Most women don't arrive at a place like this because they've given up.
They arrive because they've been showing up, relentlessly, faithfully, beautifully, for everyone and everything else. Their families. Their careers. Their communities. The endless list of things that needed them.
They got very good at carrying.
And somewhere in the middle of all that carrying, they stopped making space for themselves. Not because they wanted to. Not because they stopped mattering. Life just kept moving, and they kept moving with it until the distance between who they are and how they're living quietly became too wide to ignore.
The Wild Exhale was built for that woman.
Not to fix her. Not to rebuild her from scratch. But to give her four uninterrupted days to set everything down, breathe all the way out, and remember who she is beneath all the roles she holds so well.
Four days. A small circle of women. The Sonoran Desert.
Over four days at a private desert sanctuary outside Peoria, Arizona, you will move your body in ways that feel like coming home. You'll sit in stillness during sound healing sessions with crystal singing bowls and tuning forks. You'll share meals, meaningful conversation, and the particular kind of honesty that only happens when women give each other real space.
Mornings will be quiet and intentional. Evenings will be warm and unhurried. Somewhere in between, you'll start to hear yourself again

There is no performance here. No requirement to be the most flexible woman in the room, to have your life figured out, or to show up as anything other than exactly who you are right now.
This is not a place for more doing. It's a place for finally being.
The Philosophy
Inspired by her book What If You Gave Yourself a Year? by retreat facilitator Heather Monthie, PhD,
The Wild Exhale is built on a single, inconvenient truth: meaningful transformation doesn't happen in a weekend of hustle. It happens in moments of genuine stillness when you stop rushing long enough to let something real catch up to you. You don't need to become someone new. You just need enough time and space to remember who you already are. It is not necessary to read the book prior to attending this transformational retreat.
Whether you’re stepping onto your path of intuition for the first time or expanding your mastery as a healer or lightworker, this retreat will meet you exactly where you are—guiding you gently back to the luminous truth that you are, and have always been, lit within.
About Heather Monthie, PhD
Heather Monthie has spent nearly three decades helping people of all ages and backgrounds achieve real, lasting personal and professional success. Her career began in education, working directly with people in the trenches of a life transformation, helping them reimagine what was possible and build the skills and confidence to get there. Over time, that work expanded into something bigger: the whole person. The body. The mindset. The life.
Today she is a yoga teacher, certified personal trainer, mindfulness coach, nutrition coach, sound healer, and energy practitioner and the founder of Operation Fit AF 365 Days Body Transformation Challenge and Yoga by Heather. She is also the author of What If You Gave Yourself a Year?, the book that inspired this retreat and the philosophy behind everything she teaches.
Who This Retreat Is For
TThis retreat is for the woman who has spent years being good at life and is quietly running on empty because of it.
She's not someone who gave up on herself. She's someone who kept every commitment except the ones she made to herself. She shows up. She delivers. She holds it together. And she's tired in a way that a good night's sleep stopped fixing a long time ago.
She probably looks fine from the outside. She is fine. She just knows there's a version of herself she hasn't had access to in a while, and she's ready to find her way back.
She's not coming here to be transformed by the weekend. She's coming because she finally understands that real change requires real rest and she's ready to stop treating herself like the last thing on the list.
This retreat is for you if:
● You're chronically last on your own priority list
● You've tried the quick fixes and you're done with starting over
● Your body is asking for movement that restores instead of depletes
● You want real conversation with women who actually get it
● You're ready to stop rushing through life
This retreat is not for you if:
● You're looking for a party or a passive spa weekend
● You're not open to honest reflection and genuine community
● You're not ready to be fully present with yourself or the women around you
Honoring Your Schedule
Because your time is precious, we have intentionally structured this journey to honor your schedule, meaning your first and last days are gentle, half-day transitions designed to ease you into and out of the experience without rush or stress :
● Thursday (The Arrival): We begin in the late afternoon with a 3:00 PM check-in, allowing you plenty of time to travel, arrive without stress, and unwind before our first collective evening circle.
● Friday & Saturday (The Immersions): Two full, deeply unhurried days dedicated entirely to your movement, your silence, your nourishment, and your breakthroughs.
● Sunday (The Return): A powerful morning session to seal your commitments, wrapping up by 10 AM so you can return home in daylight, completely ready to step into your next chapter.

What should I bring with me?
1 | Comfortable Clothes
Comfy clothes are an absolute must-have during retreats. This is not a time for fancy outfits, it’s a time for feeling comfortable on the outside so you can focus on growing on the inside. With that, think of yoga pants, loungewear, flip flops, t-shirts, a sweatshirt or two, and, depending on the season, a cozy cardi or light jacket to keep you warm on cool mornings or star gazing evenings.
2 | Comfortable Walking/Hiking Shoes
Similar to your clothing planning, comfort is key in footwear. Leave those high heels at home and instead bring your favorite walking shoes.
3 | Water Bottle
You always want to stay hydrated. Staying hydrated can up your energy and keep your head clear.
4 | Book
Time to turn off the phone and other digital devices and dig into a good book during free time. At the moment I am reading the Yamas & Niyamas, perfect for setting the right mindset for the retreat.
5 | Journal and Pens
Retreats & YTT trainings are the perfect opportunity for reflection, and having a guided journal is a great way to go. Colorful pens just make me happy. When I sit down to journal or write a list in my planner, somehow my day is a little brighter if I am using a colorful pen. I always have 3 or 4 colored pens in my purse plus a highlighter. Why not brighten up the world a little?
6 | Swimsuit
Enjoy the swimming pool & hot tub, and our infrared sauna for detoxing
7 | Weather appropriate outerwear
Just make sure to pack plenty of comfortable light clothes, a light jacket, and a sweater or sweatshirt or 2
8 | Open Mind & Open Heart
Our retreat center is all about connections…. Connecting with mind, body, and spirit. You can expect personal growth and reflection. Sometimes you are asked to stretch your mind, (or even decide to stretch on your own) in a direction that feels uncomfortable, like an edge. Just remember that knowing our edges and understanding where they are is important for growth. Just bring an open mind & open heart, and you may surprise yourself!
When is check-in?
Between 3-5 pm on the 1st day of your retreat.
When is check-out?
10 am on the final day
