Sage & Radiance

A Women's Retreat of Remembering

April 17–24, 2027 | Haramara Retreat Center | Sayulita, Mexico

Hosted by Lana Anderson Royce

The second half of life isn't about becoming younger. It's about becoming more yourself.

Welcome Home

There comes a season in every woman's life when the invitation changes.

The first half of life often asks us to build.

To achieve. To nurture. To care for others. To create a life.

The second half quietly asks something different.

To soften. To listen. To remember.

Perhaps you've spent years showing up for everyone else...

Your family. Your career. Your community.

Perhaps you've become so good at caring for others that you've forgotten how to receive care yourself. Or maybe you've simply felt a quiet whisper...

There has to be more than checking the boxes and making it through another day.

If you've found yourself longing for deeper meaning, genuine connection, sacred rest, or simply time to hear your own thoughts again... Welcome. You are exactly where you need to be.

This Is Not Just Another Retreat

Sage & Radiance is an invitation to return to yourself.

Not the woman you were twenty years ago.

Not the woman others expect you to be.

The woman you are becoming.

This retreat was created for women who understand that aging is not something to fear.

It is something to honor.

Because every season of life carries its own wisdom.

And your radiance was never meant to fade.

Why "Sage & Radiance?"

The word Sage represents the wisdom earned through living.

The laughter.

The heartbreak.

The resilience.

The countless moments that shaped who you are today.

Radiance is what naturally shines when a woman stops trying to become someone else and begins fully embracing herself.

This retreat celebrates both.

Why Haramara?

Nestled between the lush jungle and the Pacific Ocean near the colorful village of Sayulita, Haramara Retreat Center offers something increasingly rare...

Silence.

There are no televisions.

Open-air accommodations welcome ocean breezes and birdsong.

Nature becomes your alarm clock.

The rhythm of the waves becomes your meditation.

The sunsets remind you to pause.

The stars remind you how beautifully small—and infinitely connected—we truly are.

Sometimes the greatest luxury isn't having more.

It's having less.

Less noise.

Less rushing.

Less distraction.

More presence.

More beauty.

More you.

Imagine Your Days...

Waking to birdsong and the gentle sound of the Pacific Ocean.

Moving your body through nourishing yoga overlooking the sea.

Sharing meaningful conversations with women walking a similar path.

Receiving healing through sound, meditation, breath, and energy practices.

Laughing until your cheeks hurt.

Crying if your heart needs to.

Resting without guilt.

Walking barefoot on warm sand.

Watching the sunset paint the sky.

Falling asleep beneath a canopy of stars.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I've never been on a retreat before. Is this for me?

    Absolutely.

In fact, many of the women who join us are attending their very first retreat.

You don't need any previous retreat experience, yoga experience, or meditation experience. There is nothing you need to "know" before arriving.

Simply come exactly as you are.

This retreat isn't about performing or keeping up with anyone else.

It's about giving yourself permission to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with yourself.

  • What is the age range for this retreat?

Sage & Radiance was lovingly created for women who are embracing the wisdom of midlife and beyond.

Most guests are between 45 and 70 years old, although age is never the deciding factor.

If your heart resonates with this retreat and you feel called to join us, you are welcome.

  • Do I need yoga experience?

    Not at all.

Every practice is offered with compassion and modifications.

Our yoga classes are never about achieving the "perfect pose."

They are about listening to your body, honoring where you are today, and moving in a way that feels nourishing.

You are always encouraged to rest, modify, or simply observe.

  • What airport should I fly into?

Please book your flight into Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR).

Group transportation to and from Haramara Retreat Center will be set up for you, but it is not included in the pricing, you will pay cash to the driver on the retreat arrival and departure days.

Detailed travel information and shuttle times will be sent well before the retreat.

  • Is airfare included?

    No.

Guests are responsible for booking their own airfare to Puerto Vallarta (PVR).

We recommend arriving early enough on retreat day to comfortably meet the scheduled group shuttle.

  • Is transportation included?

    No.

Round-trip group transportation between Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR) and Haramara Retreat Center is set up for groups arriving, however the drivers require cash payment directly to them for arrival and departures for your retreat.

  • What are the accommodations like?

Haramara is unlike a traditional resort.

Its beautiful open-air casitas are intentionally designed to help you reconnect with nature.

You'll fall asleep to ocean breezes and the sounds of the jungle rather than televisions or traffic.

Each casita is uniquely handcrafted and blends beautifully into the surrounding landscape.

This is eco-luxury—simple, elegant, peaceful, and deeply restorative.

  • Will I have Wi-Fi or cell service?

It will depend on the phone you have and if it has the 1900 GSM frequency band. If you have this frequency band your phone will work in Mexico but you will need to check with your service provider about your specific phone and service. There is a cell tower in Sayulita with limited accessibility from certain places at the highest point on the property.

Many women discover this becomes one of the greatest gifts of the week.

The space between notifications often becomes the place where we hear ourselves again.

  • What kind of meals are served?

Haramara is known for its incredible farm-to-table cuisine.

Three nourishing meals are included daily, prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients inspired by Mexican flavors.

Our delicious and healthy gourmet meals are made from only the freshest natural and local ingredients. Our menu is chosen daily by our chef based on the ingredients that are available that day. The always-changing daily menu includes seafood or vegetarian dishes. With advance notice, special dietary requirements can be accommodated.

Coffee and fresh squeezed juice is offered in the mornings.

Tea, purified water and fresh fruit water are available all day.

Beer, wine and margaritas are available for purchase in the afternoons and at dinner.

  • What should I pack?

    We recommend bringing:

    • Comfortable yoga and casual clothing
    • A light sweater or wrap for evenings
    • Walking sandals and comfortable shoes
    • Swimsuit
    • Sun hat and sunglasses
    • Reef-safe sunscreen
    • Journal and pen
    • Refillable water bottle
    • A favorite shawl or blanket for meditation
    • An open heart and a spirit of curiosity

A complete packing guide will be emailed after registration.

  • Will there be free time?

    Absolutely.

We intentionally create spaciousness throughout the week.

You may choose to relax by the infinity pool, receive a spa treatment, walk the beach, read in a hammock, journal, explore Sayulita, or simply rest.

Sometimes the most meaningful moments happen during the unscheduled ones.

  • Do I have to participate in everything?

    Not at all.

    This retreat honors choice.

Every offering is an invitation, never an obligation.

If your body asks for rest while others attend a workshop, honor that.

If you feel called to watch the ocean instead of joining a walk, trust that.

One of the greatest practices is learning to listen to your own inner wisdom.

  • I'm coming alone. Will I fit in?

    Most women do.

And by the end of the week, many leave feeling like they've found lifelong friends.

There is something deeply comforting about gathering with women who understand that life has seasons and that healing happens in community.

You will be warmly welcomed exactly as you are.

  • Is this a silent retreat?

    No.

There will be moments of quiet reflection, meditation, and personal time, but there will also be laughter, meaningful conversations, and shared experiences.

We believe healing often happens in both the silence and the connection.

  • What if I become emotional?

    Beautiful.

You are entering a space where every emotion is welcome.

    There is nothing to fix.

    Nothing to apologize for.

    Laughter is welcome.

    Tears are welcome.

    Stillness is welcome.

    Joy is welcome.

This retreat is a place where you are free to be authentically human.

  • Do I need travel insurance?

Yes—we strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that includes trip cancellation, interruption, medical coverage, and baggage protection.

Life happens, and travel insurance provides peace of mind for unexpected situations.

  • How do I reserve my space?

    A $333 non-refundable deposit reserves your place.

    Flexible payment plans are available.

Because Sage & Radiance is intentionally intimate, accommodations are limited and often fill well in advance.

  • Where Can I Go If I Have A Medical Emergency?

There are a number of doctors in the town of Sayulita, some with 24 hour service. There is a small hospital in the neighboring town of San Francisco (a.k.a. San Pancho) for small emergencies and a number of excellent hospitals in Puerto Vallarta for bigger emergencies. Depending on the problem and the severity, there is someone you can be taken to for help.
